How long does it take a solider to get back home from redeployment?

The last few deployments, it has taken them like 5 to 7 days to get back home. But now I'm hearing about 3 days, because they don't stop in kuwait anymore, they fly straight home with only one stop in Germany. A friend of mine left yesterday evening my time, so I'm expecting him late Sunday night or early early Monday morning. What do you think?
