I have a midterm on mon. at 10 am, but my jury duty is mon at 8 am. am i screwed?

My best advice to you would be to e-mail your teacher, tell them that you are terribly sorry, and say that you will do everything in your absolute capacity to get there for the midterm, but that if you don't if you can reschedule it for a later time that day, or possibly on Tuesday. I got summoned to jury duty during finals week, and in CA you can call the system and ask for a later date, and that all that you have to do. Check the letter that came in the mail. There has to be some kind of option. :) best of luck to you, and I know that your teacher can't hold jury duty against you because it is pretty much forced upon you, and it's part of your right as a citizen to other citizens.
