What do women and racial minorities think about this?
as a caucasian male i am not offered caucasian specific scholarships because that would be "racist", and i am not offered male specific scholarships because that would be "ist". that is a hindrance to my education. also, affirmative action promotes the hiring of women and racial minorities instead of me when equally qualified. realistically speaking, there is no such thing as equally qualified individuals. it is only a hindrance to my employment. i have seen african american employees transported by a company to their premises on their own dime instead of hiring me to travel a shorter distance by my own means. considering that i haven't played a part in racial or gender discrimination, is there room in the modern united states for these processes?
