Which is more advanced- the cell wall or the cell membrane? Prokaryotes vs Eukaryotes?

Just to help steer you, I don't think your teacher necessarily wants you to show that Prokaryotes are more advance than Eukaryotes. To refute the statement you can also show that neither is more advanced than the other.
