How is removing due process from the prosecution process via the patriot act supposed to deter terrorism?

That's a good question. The answer, it won't. That's the reason we're going to try the alleged 911 conspirators at Git mo instead of bringing them to a civilian trial in the U.S. By doing that we can ignore due process, convict them easily and sweep the whole thing under the carpet. It won't deter terrorism.
